What kind of computer do I need? Do I need specific requirements?

You will need regular access to a computer with a broadband internet connection and web access for the duration of the course.

For optimal video play, an internet speed of 1mbps is recommended.  

I don’t hear any sound when the videos are playing, how do I fix this?

Please ensure that your computer speakers are turned on. You can also adjust the volume using the speaker icon at the bottom left-hand side of the course window.

When I click to start the course nothing happens, what do I do?

Please ensure that your web browser is not blocking pop-ups, as the course will open in a new webpage. Visit http://www.wikihow.com/Allow-Pop%E2%80%93ups for more information on how to change your browser pop-up settings.

Can I start and finish my online course at any time?

Yes, if you exit the course before finishing, when you log back in you will be asked if you’d like to continue from where you left off. Please ensure you are using the same browser as you initially logged in with (ie. Chrome, Firefox, Explorer, Safari…)

How long will it take to complete the online course?

You can take as much time as you’d like to complete the course. It typically takes 60 to 90 minutes to complete.

Do I need to complete the course all in one sitting?

No, if you decide you’d like to complete the course in increments, when you log back in, you will be asked if you’d like to continue from where you left off. Please ensure you are using the same browser as you initially logged in with (ie. Chrome, Firefox, Explorer, Safari…)

What happens if I fail the quiz at the end?

A minimum score of 70% is required to pass the quiz. You can attempt the quiz 3 times, after the 3rd unsuccessful attempt, please contact support@otec.org.

I was unable to print my certificate when I finished the quiz, how do I print my certificate?

You can log back into your account and try to print it again. Please also ensure that your web browser is not blocking pop-ups, as the certificate will open in a new webpage. Visit http://www.wikihow.com/Allow-Pop%E2%80%93ups for more information on how to change your browser pop-up settings. Please also ensure to select the landscape layout when printing.
